3D Printing and Modelling for Teenagers (Aged 12-17)

Teenagers (Aged 12-17) are shown how to take their favorite things from pop culture and bring them to life using technology.  Students will be thrusted into the world of 3D Printing and Technology learning all of the basics required to find their niche.  By the end of the program they will be able to bridge the gap between the real world and the digital world giving them full access to amazing new opportunities in the digital entertainment industries.

3D Modelling

  • Learn how to use Fusion 360, CURA, Blender, ZBrush
  • Create original models from your own imagination
  • Obtain skills to work with models from your favorite media (video games, movies, and more)
  • Utilize your new skills to build a portfolio for the digital entertainment industry

  • Learn Industry standards taught by our Certified Additive Manufacturing Technicians
  • Create real world objects that rival the Hollywood industry
  • Understand when to use Resin vs FDM and get the most out of each
  • Service your tabletop ambitions and bring your next campaign ideas to life

What To Expect

Take Home Items

Each student will be assigned a printer within the workshop for the 10 week course.  All PLA/PETG Materials and post-processing supplies are provided.  If your project(s) require TPU or Carbon Fiber based Materials we can provide you with a quote beforehand  If your print requires an electronics component we will  be able to order it for you from BC Robotics (Nanaimo) or one of the BC owned Robotics shops on the mainland.  All electronics components will require an extra charge.  All Students in the Class will receive:

Fun and Entertainment

We have a wonderfully curated collection of video games that are meant for ages 12-17 featuring a rich history of technological accomplishments.  Every day features a rich understanding of how the concepts they are learning relate to the entertainment industry while giving them a change to blow off some steam in between sessions.

Electronics for your projects

If your print requires an electronics component we will  be able to order it for you from BC Robotics (Nanaimo) or one of the BC owned Robotics shops on the mainland.  All electronics components will require an extra charge.  All Students in the Class will receive:.

T-Shirts and Hoodies available

Do you like swag and feel a need to represent?  We have T-Shirts and Hoodies available for students who want to either collect autographs of all of their fellow students.  They also make great paint collectors so you know how much damage you did with your brush.

Instructors Available

We keep one instructor on hand for every five kids registered for a camp.  All workstations can be monitored by an instructor to ensure that students are focused and having fun.

Neurodivergent Friendly

Our program is curated in a way that neurodivergent (ADHD/Autistic) individuals can learn and develop in a friendly safe environment.  We specifically aim for teachers and instructors who are neurodivergent themselves to increase inclusion in our programs.
